As a Mechanical Engineer, you are responsible for the mechanical development and design of various custom-made machines, specifically within the context of heavy-duty transport systems and AGVs on an international level. You create a complete mechanical design in INVENTOR, including the necessary analyses. You will become familiar with the latest technologies, CE regulations, and functional safety, and make the appropriate material selections. You dimension the mechanical components and perform all related calculations. You prepare the required production drawings and documentation, and you follow up on the project in our workshop, where it is fully built.

What does a Mechanical Engineer do?

  • Mechanical design in INVENTOR of transport systems and AGVs, or automation and robotics projects, including the necessary calculations

  • Selecting materials and contacting our suppliers to request quotations

  • Preparing projects in consultation with the project manager

  • Creating production drawings and documentation

  • Following up on the project in our workshop

Your profile

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

  • You have experience in a similar position

  • Punctual and able to work in a structured manner

  • You have good spatial awareness and can sketch out ideas

  • You work well both in a team and independently

  • You can work quickly and efficiently with a 3D parametric CAD package

  • Good command of English

  • Some nice-to-haves:

    • Basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electricity

    • Knowledge of iLogic (or other programming experience)

    • Stress-resistant
