Construction of a customized transport system for transporting the cable reels up to a maximum weight of 60 tons.

Challenge

The Twentsche Kabelfabriek (TKF) was looking for a solution to transport the heavy cable reels up to 60ton in a safer and more efficient way. In the past, this was done in the factory by means of an overhead crane, combined with trailers and a forklift to bring the reels outside.

Solution

AVT Europe NV has built a custom-made transport system for the transport of cable drums, by developing and transporting on a pallet a wide range of drums can be transported up to a maximum weight of 60 tons.

Thanks to 8 driven wheels, the transporter is strong enough to overcome small slopes with maximum load. The transporter is equipped with elevated IP degree to be able to drive both indoor and outdoor.
